What percentage of Jamaicans have any kind of mixed ancestry?

I know most Jamaicans are of African descent but what percentage of those people have any kind of European ancestry. (For example, 1/4 white or 1/8 white)
I am asking this question because Jamaica and Haiti both are predominately black nations but it is still possible to tell the difference between them.
Jamaica has a higher frequency of brown and light skinned people than Haiti, even though most people in both nations are darker skinned black people.

Yeah, but Haiti is mostly black because the people of St. Domingue killed all the French people before they could rape any women and declared themselves free and a republic
Jamaicans scared the white people too much to actually live with them.

Id say more than half have European ancestry as slave masters having children with slaves was prompted to keep a healthy slave population.
By the way skin tone is not always the indicator.

you can’t really tell by judging by skin color. There is light-skinned black people in Africa that are 100% black:

Hey. I’m Jamaican. . . .
I would say that about 25% of Jamaicans have about 1/4 white in them. . . and probably like 1/8 native. . .
but im not sure about the other 75%. . . the other half is probably a lot less. .
me personally I have like 1/8 to 1/4 native. . and about 1/8 to 1/4 Scottish

according to wikipedia :blacks predominating – 90. 9%, East Indian 1. 3%, Chinese 0. 2%, White 0. 2%, mixed 7. 3%, other 0. 1%. also alot of mixed jamaicans had migrated like the chinese and white ones so it kinda had lowered the percentage of mixed jamaicans.

My sister is 100% african born there and she’s light skinned. That doesnt mean she has white blood in her. you cant rilly determine nationalities like that

Theres a distinction between mixed-race and simple mixed ancestry. Most Jamaicans and about 1/3 of all Haitians have some type of mixed ancestry, just as a general result of slavery. Also, the gene pool of Jamaica in particular is quite small since they’re on an island, so most of the White DNA would presumably diffuse throughout the island through intermarriage. So although only about 7 percent of the population is self-described mulatto, in reality anywhere from 25-75% of all Black jamaicans could have White blood.
The same is true for Haiti. The CIA factbook lists haiti as 5% mulatto but they’re not making the distinction between the Haitian concept of mulatto and the American concept of mulatto.
In Haiti, a mulatto is not simply a lightskinned person, but someone who could nearly pass for white, and there is a DISTINCT difference between the to. Mulâtre is someone who’s hair texture, facial features and skin tone approach those of a White person, whereas a Grimeau/Grimelle is a person who is simply lightskinned. Both have significant European ancestry, but the social connotations of the two labels are different. There are plenty of broke Grimeaux, but very few impoverished Mulattos.
So back to the DNA question, I’d say about 1/3 of all Haitians posess some significant White ancestry, with 5% being quadroons and the rest being Blacks & Mulattos of various shades. The remaining 2/3 is probably of nearly all Black ancestry, with perhaps some Taino admixture.
